Stupas at Dzongsar Tibetan Buddhist Institute by

The two large white stupas (in Tibetan called chorten) at Dzongsar Shedra, a Rime (non-sectarian) Tibetan Buddhist institute near Bir Tibetan Settlement in Himachal Pradesh, India.

Stupas generally house religious relics, which may include the remains of Rinpoches or other Lamas, mantras/scrolls, etc.

About CrypticFragment

Artist’s Statement: "My work focuses on connections. Connections between the past & present, between different cultures, between man and nature, even between colors & forms.

I am strongly influenced by the architecture & arts of ancient civilizations, sacred spaces, native traditions of unique world cultures, & by the power of nature to reclaim what man has built.

My goal is to inspire others to be curious about the world around them, & how everything is interconnected."

Congratulations. This is a wonderful, high quality image, just what we are looking for in our group

  • Thank you so much, Karen.
Please accept my apologies for my belated reply. I tend to miss things in my groups when I am traveling as connections can be erratic!
