The Dawn Does Call All
I wrote this “commentary” piece some 7 years ago … and we’re still doing it!
And “they’re” still slaughtering each other as I type and speak … its “normal” I’ve been told, its “human” my colleagues say, its necessary, apparently! Well that may be so, but it don’t make it right!
The Dawn Does Call All belongs to the following groups:
All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Safe Haven, The Healing Journey, The Word Tree and WMGSplashes of golden rays of yellow, orange and red light up the clouds strewn across the mourning sky, as the new day calls all to once again wake with a smile, and peace in one’s heart.
The birds of wing and feather shrill and thrill to the dawn’s warm tendrils of sunlight. Another night has been and gone, morning’s delight now enthrals those living in pleasant environments to be enamoured by nature’s call.
In distant lands, far from my revelry and sanctuary, far from the golden rays of my safe dawn, the rumble of distant canon and shells of destruction fall upon the lands and homes of the innocent and poor as I prepare to go shopping at my local mall.
A rain of terror falls from jets thundering across the skies above veiled women, cowered children, and desperate desert men; as the ‘civilised’ world sits in distant bunkers and parliaments, congratulating each other as if they be sacrosanct—though bloated on power, greed and the illusion of ‘just-us’ for all—whilst conspiring and endorsing further annihilation and the demoralising of others of different views and ilk.
’tis war apparently my friend, and we all, according to this land’s government, willingly and submissively support our leaders’ commitment, to send more “heroes” to distant shores, to further bind a country already many times war-torn before this most recent conflict of ideology—before this recent contest of global supremacy, which whether be it appropriate, is led once again by US self-interest, pomposity and rhetorical hypocrisy, as “they” too often before have done in recent past century.
Yes, I for one still rejoice in the calling of the morning sun, as I rise from my bed of comfort, whilst my grandfather of past “heroic” Australian deeds lays in eternity buried beneath the desert under an Egyptian dawn.

Though I am disturbed, whilst regarding others who are fleeing from their burning beds, covered in dust and rubble, and crimson red blood of misery, shedding tears of uncertainty; and I cannot endorse the righting of “wrongs” by terror and force, nor agree with the sentiments of the majority it seems—“the right by might” axiom—be they of my fellow Australians, or others from the so-called civilised corners of our world.
No rationale may justify mass terror nor murder, be it by bomb or deprivation of food and life-resources, no matter who did what to whom—for whenever even one is treated unjustly and cruelly, anywhere at anytime—a crime against any life is still a crime, and this has been said by wiser than I—and further to this: We all are held to account for all our actions, or lack of, for that is the essence of “The Law” of nature, the universe, physics, “god”, and consequence; yet we’ll still restlessly sleep in dishonest peace whilst our beds are burning, and the stench of burnt flesh, war and destruction will continue to waft upon the gentle, breeze of our morning, golden sun-lit rays and birds a-calling. And I in frustration and inner-conflict hardly make a sound, whilst the howl of war of class and race and religion still abounds.

Well said sad piece Crowmanic. All the wars our parents and grandparents fought in seem to have done nothing other than change the countries that fought and opposed into what they fought and opposed.
And we have the USA vetoing a call for a Cease Fire in Gaza, by the UN. End the Security Council and the permanent members veto powers and the World would be a lot more Secure and Peaceful.

Excellent writing Crowmanic…sad the powers that be in this world in this day & age still haven’t learnt the physics of life…shows just how ‘unknowledgable’ they are…educated maybe but lacking knowledge…peace begets peace…
