The Ancient Egyptians believed that every person was thought to have three souls — the Akh, Ba, and the Ka.
The Akh was the immortal soul which emerged when the Ka and the Ba united after the deceased person passed judgement in the Egyptian Mummification.
The Ba was able to leave the tomb and revisit the dead person’s haunts in the mortal world.
The Ka was a less solid duplicate of the body. Without a physical body the soul had no place to dwell and became restless forever.
The entities of the Ka, Ba and Ahk or elements of the soul, were believed to be perishable and therefore at great risk. The tomb, the process of mummification, rituals and magic spells promoted the well-being, and ensured the preservation, of the dead and their Ka, Ba and Ahk. The purpose of mummification was therefore conducted to keep the soul alive and ensure a clear path to the Afterlife.
And for what it is worth, I believe these are the original words, which make-up the Islamic word Akbar given that the beginnings of Islam was centred around the same geographic region as the Egytian world. (Remember, you read it here 1st. [wink/smile] )

Congratulations, your fabulous image has been…
Thanks, Dawn … appreciate the morale booster in this … I’ve noted this image has only had 6 individuals interested enough to comment and a total of 83 visits (half probably my own, because of the way RB includes our own clicks/visits) so actually it is dismally uninteresting from an outsiders view apparently. No matter … it was a vehicle that helps go with the accompanying Description/info, and I at least find this kind of subject matter interesting.
