Once Upon A Dreaming 2
Photo taken around 1960, Leonora, Western Australia, not long after having been released from hospital. The bandages over my eye, and the darkened “circles” are indicators of the time when I lost my sight in one-eye, fortunately the other did not suffer sustained damage.
Again I’m being “watched” by one of my relatives, which was a given, in that time and era. My Grandmother’s people were constantly “pampering” and spoiling me with vigilant care.
(I think that is enough of the “nostalgic” sharing for now)

this is reminiscent of an era and it’s mass art form gone now; blurry, dark images from a ie. ‘Kodak’ and amateur hands…..nostalgic, priceless.

I’m so sorry to hear about your eye. I’d give my eyes to my sister if I could just so she can see properly, its not easy. You must have loved the spoiling though!!! Not that it can bring back your full eyesight, but it always makes you feel better, especially for a child.
