Into The Light by

One of my piece of art.

This is a snow carving that I made myself in February 2006. It was at the Yukon Sourdough Rendez-vous.

She was about 7 feet high to give you an idea.

It took me 26 hours of consecutive work (no sleep) with a few breaks along the way to warm my toes up… (it was pretty near -40 degrees Celscius below that night. But I was dressed pretty well.)

I called her Into The Light because I finished sculpting her when the sun came and shined on her from above the building that was standing in front of her. It was 12(noon) at the time.. I had started to carve her the day before at 10 am.

She has her hands open to the sky, for she is as ready to give herself, as ready to receive from the creator.
