Your poetry blues sing over me
like wet kisses nipping my neck

slow jazz dances
all through my head,

dripping warmly
down my back

like honey
m e l o d i o u s l y
tugging at my body

affections flow, roll
off your tongue

fretless
and smoothe…

charmed,
I am swept
into the arms
of your lullaby.

Lullaby

This was written about a song that was written for me. The song was called Lullaby.

How cool to have a song written for you! And a great reply.

Thanks! Yes, it is really cool to have a song or a poem – or anything – written for you or about you. I’ve actually had a few songs and poems written about me over the years, as I have always tended to surround myself with creative people. A couple years ago, Mike (the real talent behind ‘Crockpot’) wrote me a song that I have to beg him to play… I love it so much and he rarely plays guitar anymore because he spends more time drawing now. LOL!
