Dissection is cruel and unnecessary. With the alternative methods available today, schools can save thousands of dollars AND thousands of lives. Some things to consider are psychological impact, education, animal welfare, environment, cost, and chemical exposure.

BLECH.
I know what you mean though. I dropped Advanced Anatomy & Physiology my junior year the day we were told to grind up a sheep’s liver with a pestle. I nearly threw up when we were given our instructions for the day! Instead I just walked out and never looked back. I ended up taking plain ol’ BIO 101 and didn’t have to dissect anything!! Wahoo!! I had to prick my own finger for a blood lab but I would MUCH rather do that than violate an animal ANY DAY! LOL!
