Dissection is cruel and unnecessary. With the alternative methods available today, schools can save thousands of dollars AND thousands of lives. Some things to consider are psychological impact, education, animal welfare, environment, cost, and chemical exposure.

Yayyy for Mr. Frog. I did not take biology in school because I did not want to dissect a frog. Of course, any frog spared by my reluctance to cut him up fifty years ago would be dead by now anyway, but hopefully of old age after a long and happy froggy life.
