Pretty Kitty
This sweet little kitty is no longer with us. At the tender age of 4, she developed an unusual lung problem that would have required her to go through too much suffering; so we had her put down. She was the sweetest, most wonderful kitty I’ve ever known and I miss her dearly.

Sorry for your loss Lorie & Mike. You were fortunate to have known her even with 4 years. She looked like a real sweetie

aww, kitty wants her tummy rubbed. sorry to hear about her illness :(

Thank you, everyone, for your kindness. You’re right, Bridgett & Pinky – very sweet and pure… I really miss her. :( Any, yes, Shayne, she was very affectionate. She loved having her tummy rubbed – or her head or her face or her back…

Awwwww, bless her heart. How lucky you were to have provided her a loving home for four years. At the risk of not being p.c., can I say I believe she will be with you again and is waiting patiently for the time you join her … hopefully a long, long time from now. I have a number of the furry angels of my own, on the other side, and two beauties right in the here and now.

You know, Ginny, pc or not.. I agree. :)

My sincere condolences. Our companions enrich our lives and when they depart this life they leave us in sorrow. Their profound love, those treasured moments and the things they taught us along the years keep them alive deep within us. For they mould a part of us, inseparable to be.

I couldn’t agree more Carmen – thank you. :)

She was a gorgeous kitty…. we put a kitty down I had for 17 years on Jan 27th… never easy to do, but we don’t want our kitties to suffer. We then adopted Maggie…. we have Mia too, that we adopted about 6 years ago. Love cats!

Yes, it’s always hard. But it’s the right thing to do. Glad to hear you adopted more!! I can’t imagine my life without my kitties… they are… my kids, my therapy, my heart…!

What a sweet kitty! All these responses made me tear up, especially thinking about my recently departed friend. It’s amazing she let you rub her belly; from my experience, cats try to murder me when I do that. Of course, most cats aren’t fond of me. I think they know I’m more of a dog person.

Thanks – I appreciate it. The compassion here is tremendous! One of the many reasons I adore redbubble!! :)
I’m fortunate beyond belief to have 3 kitties now that shower me with all kinds of affection – and of course I return that tenfold. :p I even have a kitty now (a.k.a. Psycho Kitty) that rolls over to have her belly rubbed when she’s in the mood and another kitty, MonkeyButt, who LOVES tummy rubs. All our fur babies are infinitely precious to us for different reasons – they all have their own talents, personalities and gifts of love/life!
