i was born in 1971 and grew up on a very small farm. i love the country life and love photographing it even though i now live in an urban setting. i am looking for ways to improve what i do, any constructive thoughts are welcome.

my interests include God, the teachings of Jesus, books, tv, movies, history, the human mind, overstuffing my cd case which is now all in my mp3 player, oh and PHOTOGRAPHY.

i have been searching for a long time for a way to express myself artistically. i have always been good at alot of different types of art, but i have a problem with patience. a few years ago i took a very basic class on photography and bought my first digital camera. a cannon powershot. but quickly outgrew it. i now have a nikon d40x that i am in love with and have named herbie, the shutter bug.

i like the instant gratification that photography gives me. i’m decent at it but am always looking for ways to improve and comments about how to improve.

i don’t like doing a lot of post-editing work. maybe cropping and some brightness/contrast or hue. there are a few here that i did a little more to but for the most part they are as i saw them through the view finder.

i like looking for that right moment and right time type of photography. although there are shots that i’ve set up, these are more expressions of my emotions that overwhelm me, than the desires that are in my heart.
