The stream in the shot is Gatesgarth Beck, and the grid ref is NY 210 148. My title ‘Borrowdale’ maybe a little inaccurate now I’ve looked at it again. If you drive through the Borrowdale valley from Keswick, and over Honister Pass, this is the valley at the other side.
I think the peaks in the shot are (from left to right): Fleetwith Pike, High Crag, High Stile, Red Pike and Dodd. And on the right the lower slopes of Robinson.
I was thinking it dose not look much like borrowdale to me, I did think about down the other side honister but some how I couldn’t get the hills to fit.
