Doing some work at home when I took a break and walk outside to find the sun hitting these tree with nice dark clouds around. Grabbed my IR converted 5D mark II with the 180mm Macro attached and got 4-5 shots off before it was all gone. Handheld IR converted Canon EOS 5D Mark II Canon Lens EF 180 mm f3.5 Macro USM Focal length 180 mm (234mm equivalent @ 1.3 crop) F/3.5 Exposure 1/100 sec Exposure compensation: + 1 stops. Picture mode: Standard ISO – 100 Shooting mode – manual Metering mode – Pattern White Balance – Auto Late afternoon light.
You’re cookin’ now with the IR mate. You are hooked. Once you spot the light like this and go for the IR DSLR and not the Mark IV you’re away.
I need to get in the habit of carrying at least one of them with me at all times. Now I have my nifty ‘over the shoulder camera holder’ I have no excuse. Cheers.
Wow…you converted your 5D to IR?!! WOW!….. no stopping you now. Super shot!
Thanks Wendi. Yes, I know, now I feel I really have to perform!! IR is a funny beast, the rule book is small……..because they are still writing it. So a lot of experimenting.
