My Body Dress
By Crisman Art
Inspired by the Oslo Tragedy
Embraced by my dress
Life on Earth I do caress
When I slipped into it
So I do admit
It was a perfect fit.
Bright and colourful
Not one spot was dull
By silken worms was spun
As glittering rainbow under the sun.
When earthen soil took her toil
My dress I did not want to spoil
But colours faded constantly
Brightness became history
I tried hard to slow down destiny
By sewing patch after patch
Great effort to make them match.
For I identified my silken treasure
Of “WHO I AM” with greatest pleasure.
Yet with wind, heat and water
There was nothing I could barter!
Fibres faded transparent
Wearing out my dress to its end.
Similar as going to sleep at night
Each morning waking up to light
Does that mean I have died?
OF COURSE NOT!
For my spirit still smiles bright!
All around you I now fly
If you think of me, I am with Thee!
Sharing this now with YOU
To YOURSELF always be TRUE.
