Back home in Florida after 30-plus years in a VA suburb of Washington, DC, I retired in 2002 after working for the federal government as a report editor also doing desktop publishing and graphic design. I have always loved all kinds of art, beginning when I was three with fingerpaint, which I found so much less restrictive than coloring books. I was a shutterbug as a child, with my Brownie camera but, since getting my first digital camera, have been shooting anything and everything and digitally manipulating the images, often with surprising results. Sometimes, instead of modifying a photograph, I start from scratch, and some of my favorite abstract creations have come from this. Just doing it is so much fun, it is an end in itself, but it is nice to be able to share my work. I hope that others will enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by, and come again real soon. And, while you’re online, take a look at CricketNoel’s other artsy endeavors at my Etsy and Zazzle shops, or go to Spoonflower for unique fabric designs. Oh and, BTW, to be in a particular group, I am required to say I am over 60. How much over is for me to know and you to find out if you care.

Sharing PART of a poem

First Journal of 2012

A while back I was in the habit of journaling once a week about the features my work earned but, after a while, it came to seem like old news and and too much of a chore, so I quit doing that on a regular basis. However I am very happy about my latest posted work, CONTEMPLATIVE NUDE, which garnered not just three features in the first three days it was public, but two of them were permanent. Feel…

Well, there's one thing ...

about RB combining all my work into one big pot … it certainly inflated my view count. Just made a hundred and twenty THOUSAND views! Not that this is a super number or anything, but it is nice and round.
