This is why flowers love sunshine. The day was almost painfully beautiful, with the clearest, bluest sky ever, and the colors of the flowers were almost vibrating with intensity. It was the kind of day that hurts your heart … in a good way. It was the kind of day that when, in times of stress, someone will say, think of a time and place when you were happy, close your eyes and go there, to your happy place … this is it.

Taken with 14mp digital Nikon in Gulfport Florida on a Tuesday afternoon, and processed in PSE 10.

Hey there girlfriend, seems like a while since we chated. Hope all is well with you, sounds as if it is. That’s one blue sky alright, not taking anything away from those gorgeous flowers. Fine shot Ginny.

  • Hi there, Jim, so great to hear from you. Haven’t seen a lot of activity from you in a while and I was hoping all was well.Thank you for the comment. As far as my own situation is concerned, strangely enough, about 5 years ago, someone told me that 2012 was going to be the beginning of a turnaround for me and my life was going to take a change for the better. I thought, yeah, right. Well, I can tell you that I can pinpoint the first of the positive changes to the day before 2012, with an unexpected email on NYE, and ever since, I can hardly believe my good fortune. Even if this does not continue, I am on for the ride to enjoy whatever happens.

Very beautiful. Stunning colours Ginny. Love the story and title.

  • Thank you so much, Christine. Actually, the day was SO bright, I could not see a thing on the camera’s LED screen, so I was basically pointing and shooting blind.
