I was parceling out medications into my pill holders yesterday when I emptied out a bottle of my Mega Red krill oil capsules. Before throwing the bottle away, I was struck by how light looked through the dark red plastic. On an impulse, I stuck my camera lens into the bottle, held it to the light, and shot several frames. Now, I do not have the right equipment to do macro photography, per se, but I was amazed at the detail in this photo of the bottom of the bottle from about two inches away. Camera is a 10.2 mp Kodak SLR digital, and aside from bumping up the pixel count for a bigger file size (as recommended by RB for upload), this image is ENTIRELY AS IS, raw, straight from the camera. NO adjusting for color saturation or sharpness or any other distortion. I do not feel that the picture is especially “art worthy” but I did think it was interesting, technically speaking.

macro, raw
