Digitally created abstract
This image was posted in January of ’08 and, as of Sept. 20, 2011, still has only 322 views, less than a hundred per year. I suppose I should have written something more about it, or maybe put it into more groups. This image speaks to me of the resilience of women through the history of humankind, our strength and patience, working largely behind the scenes, underappreciated, but indispensable and steadfast.
Update 07/21/12: uploaded a modified version of the image, with a little bit of a border treatment and slightly enhanced saturation, otherwise same image – oh, and I gave her a right eye and eyebrow. Not changing the title here, but I did the enhanced treatment for uploading earlier today to Fine Art America, where it is titled “Resilient,” which is perhaps more appropriate, or at least more positive than simply being resigned to whatever life brings one’s way. On another note, as far as viewing stats are concerned, at four and a half years up, the count is now 462, upping the rate to about a hundred views a year, better than it was last September … at this rate, we might hit the 500 mark sometime early in 2013 … stay tuned.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate all the supportive comments.
Ginny this is fantastic
Hi Jamie, and thank you. I spied a face, or what looked like part of a face, at the left edge of When Words Fail. It was just nose, mouth, chin, and the line of a neck, but I thought it would be worth trying to fill in the rest. This is just the first attempt. I like it, but it does not quite capture what I was aiming for, so I will be trying again.
