Similar to Through the Blinds, this is a view of the patio overlooking Sarasota bay, seen through the window of the breakfast room of John and Mable Ringling’s winter mansion in Florida. The delicately tinted glass used in all the windows was imported from Italy and provides a happy glow to the interior. Lovely as the inside is, I’d give anything to have
my morning coffee at sunrise on this patio. Wouldn’t you?

Here’s a shot of the front of the house.

For anyone considering a card, I would recommend choosing the black background.

  • Thanks very much, Kathy. This a magical place for me; I always get one of those deja vu feelings whenever I visit it. I daydream about going back in time to be a weekend guest of John and Mabel there. Thank you for your comment.

  • Thanks, Tony. I love this place so much, I would live in a hole under the basement if they would let me move in. Visitors could traipse through during the day, and I would haunt around it at night.
