This is another of the of statues adorning the little park in the middle of this big office complex in St. Petersburg, Florida. Many of the statues depict Native Americans in an array of tribal dress, some on horseback, some battling fierce beasts, and some dancing happily and making music. Perhaps in celebration of all the commerce and beautiful big new buildings brought by the friendly European settlers to their fair land. This particular individual is named for Kokopelli, the hunchbacked flute player who represents the spirit of music.
A number of glass fronted office buildings surround the little statuary garden, but I could not have gotten the statue from this angle with the building behind it, so I superimposed the image of the statue over a separate picture of a building in the complex. .
