OK, somebody had to go and mention Mondrian (THANK you for the compliment!) when I posted Not All Rectangles Are Square a little while ago, and so I could not rest until I had this to add. I did say I had thought of Mondrian while I was working on the white and black abstract, but it did not immediately come to me how and where the color was to be added. But it nagged at me and, at 2 a.m., way past my bedtime, I opened the first picture and it hit me, just like that. So. Here is my Mondrian tribute, and my thanks to van049 for the nudge.
Love this one too Ginny ~ I love the addition of colour ~ changes the whole concept! Hope you got some sleep ~ you and Pat sound just like me .. just one more edit before bedtime ~ lol! Susie
Nice that you were nudged and ready to create at 2 am this is beautiful, the colors really pop especially the yellow. And even more lovely in the black frame. * Coy *
LOL, as soon as I saw it I though “Hm, that looks very Mondrian, I’m going to have to check it out.” I take great pleasure in making connections with things. Possibly more than is warranted. But it was fun to recognize something in a piece I had never seen before. :o)
