Black and What? by

I have no idea what I thought I would accomplish with this,
it’s just too bizarre, but some uncontrollable urge made me
do it. I either love it or hate it, and I haven’t yet decided which.
There may be some kind of metaphysical message here, but
rather than say what I think that might be, will just let the thing
stand (or fall) on its own. It may not live very long, but if anyone
has a reaction to it, I’d like to know, just try not to be too unkind.
Meanwhile, I am logging off for a while; can’t bear to watch.
. . . . . . .
Now, a couple days later, after some nice comments, a feature
in ADAWG, and the view count growing steadily, I can breathe again. This growing on me. For me, I think the message it conveys is that the “real” world we experience is confined to our senses, and almost entirely to the small part of this planet that we occupy. Beyond that, however, is a universe of things we know nothing about, micro and macro aspects beyond our range of perception. The sum of human knowledge is pitifully small, and what we think we know is not all there is.. And now I can’t get the theme music from Twilight Zone out of my head.

I think it’s a very creative overlay. Black and Coral, but then I like your title of Black and What, it’s a cute play on words.

  • Jim, thanks for the supportive comment. I had wanted to do a variation on Black & White, but after toying with it and making it different colors, it just lacked the punch of the original. Then I thought of the overlay, and it seemed to work. Cheers.

Bravo…for stepping “out of the box” and venturing into the unknown and uncomfortable! AWESOME visual…great job! Let’s see some more!!!

  • Hey, Pat. I guess this means it will live for a while. There was something about it that spoke to me, as if to say there is the “real” world you see, and a lot of strange stuff that you don’t … or something like that.
