Blue Bayou by Ginny Schmidt

Blue Bayou by

This was taken at the beach at Gulfport, Florida, around dusk one recent evening. I was experimenting with different flash options, and this one shot came out blue, all on its own. What I call serendipity. The water in question is actually Boca Ciega Bay, but I couldn’t resist naming the picture Blue Bayou.

UPDATE 4 Sep 2011. This image has been up almost four years now and has just 500 views, an average of one a month. That’s OK, I still like it anyway. Also, aside from the addition of a border (which I know RB frowns upon) I had to do very little postprocessing before putting the image up … I was surprised at how blue it was straight out of the camera.

Thanks very much. If I say so myself, I like it, too, although it’s an RB no-no, with the border. I reserve the right to border…BORDERS RULE!
