I found a row of Sea Grape (Coccoloba) plants against a fence, their leaves dappled with water droplets after a summer shower in Gulfport, Florida. They certainly are ornamental, with the green leaves and contrasting red veins and stems. The Sea Grape is native to the tropical Americas and grows in the sandy soil near beaches. It produces clusters of small, grape-like fruits that can be used for jelly.
