I guess it’s true — you really can’t kill a frangipani. Five years ago, I cut a branch off a plant in the back yard of the place in Seminole, FL, that my mom and I were moving from. Mother said all you have to do is stick it in the ground, it doesn’t even matter which way is up. Well I stuck it in the ground in the front yard at my new house in St Pete, and there it has sat, all this time. Not growing, but not dying either. To my delight I finally found flowers on it the other day, one full bloom and a buncha buds. Woo hoo.
Very beautiful Ginny. I enjoyed your writeup on the Fangipani.
Thank you, Jim. If you liked that, you will also appreciate knowing that the frangipani plants in my mum’s backyard were from cutting that my cousin Billy had brought her from his house which, coincidentally, is only three blocks up the street from where I live now. Billy died almost ten years ago and my mom in 2004, so these flowers are a connection to two lost loved ones, and I rejoice to see them.
Thanks very much, Andrew. The frangipani is in bloom again, and I took a picture of it yesterday with my cell phone. The pretty yellow flowers are now acting as wallpaper on my phone’s screen.

Hi Ginny. Aren’t they just gorgeous, and the colour of this one is absolutely beautiful.
Great color and lighting. Some of my favorite tropical flowers.
Beautiful flower, very soft and delicate coloring!

Lovely shot, Ginny! The colours are beautifully rendered and the image is so sharp and clear it seems three-dimensional! -Gerda

STUNNING! Frangipanis are gorgeous flowers.
Thank you; I just redid this a couple days ago to increase the black area and add the border. Makes it a bit more dramatic.
