Best Friends Forever
Originally a watercolor painted in 2003 as a wedding gift for a friend who loves turtles (GO Terrapins!!!), this image suggested itself to me as appropriate for a friendship card. It probably has too much jpeg artifaction to produce a good quality print in anything larger. However, if anyone wants to take a chance on a small print, let me know and I will make it available.

Originally titled The Honeymooners, I changed it to broaden the appeal. A friend who loves turtles was getting married, and I was too cheap to buy a wedding present, so I painted this for her. I went online to various turtle websites looking for a model to paint from. Imagine my surprise when I found these two, posed just like this! Too perfect for the occasion to pass up.
