My art is mostly based on my passions in life which is the natural world, specifically animals, plants, fungi, landscapes and abstract patterns in nature. I worked as a consultant zoologist for six years and have collated many photographs of threatened species and different landscapes. I then translate these photographs into mosaics. Mosaic is a very versatile medium, I use everything from broken china, ceramic tiles, stained glass and smalti. I am now a full time mum to my beautiful daughter who also inspires me.
