Digital painting from August 2007.

Started from scratch with a white line on a clean really dark navy blue canvas. And I did a number of things to make it look like water by also adding different shades of blue. The effect is to make it feel like it’s a puddle but at the same time to give a pond or lake feel surrounded by an implied forest of trees at night with the moonlight reflecting on it. I can still tell that it’s not real water, but I did my best to make it look as realistic as possible. shrugs
