This shot was taken through a steel sculpture at a museum near Telford/Ironbridge, England.
I like unusual viewpoints. I like the way that shapes, shadows and light can change your whole perception of something. The emphasis of the light here made me think that no matter how dark a situation, there is always hope…and however you view things, there is always another point of view even though it might not be your own or you might not agree with it.
I also like the nature vs man-made aspect in this image, with the tree being visible through the steel. Of course both things are strong and beautiful in their own right.
Unedited image, Nikon P310.

I am an amateur photographer living in the United Kingdom. I have been taking photos since I was 10 years old but also dabble in drawing, painting and design, in fact anything creative where I feel I can express myself. To me art is soul and emotion.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to look at my work. I hope you enjoy :)

It would mean a lot to me if you would look at the work that my Dad has also exhibited:

Interesting, I’ve seen something like what you show and describe in London, UK once, though I didn’t think about the meaning of it – but it can very much like what you describe. It was a pretty tall sculpture, and perhaps that light above is that high goal one has to reach for.

  • Glad you like it Mui-Ling, I was very happy with this shot. I like your interpretation of it too, always interesting to hear how people interpret things:)
