Art and painting has been a passion from an early age. Kayleen began private art instruction at the age of 16. She continued her art education at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Victoria College studying fine art and drawing.
After college Kayleen worked in graphics, however, still hungry for more experience in the fine art field, she became involved in various art societies and continued further art instruction under the late Graham Moore.
Kayleen has attended numerous art demonstrations and painting workshops, expanding her experience in different mediums and painting approaches.
A passionate and energetic approach to her art has been rewarded with a well-known and respected reputation as an artist and tutor. Kayleen’s passion for portraiture and figurative painting dominates her art portfolio; however, her interest in all painting subjects and art mediums has enhanced her versatility as an artist. Over the past few years Kayleen has been working as a graphic designer and web developer. Most recently Kayleen now works in Children’s Book Illustration.
