Hi well I only discovered art late on in life when I used to work offshore as a diver in the Arabian Gulf Oil Fields, where I took up sketching to while away the time. About 3 years ago I had a serious accident which finnished the ol diving career but every cloud has a silver linning and of course I now have more time for my art. I was very fortunate last year to have one of my works short listed for ‘The David Shepherd Wildlife Artist Of The Year Award’ and it was exhibited in the Mall Gallery in London. Apart from art I like to keep myself fit and I enjoy playing classical music and slide guitar and I also have taken up the banjo. I learned slide guitar when I was in Alaska where I also learned to fly microlites . Now I am back home I would like to take up flying again. There is so much to do in life isn’t there.
I would really like to thank anyone who has taken the time to look at my art, and would love to hear any criticism or advice.
I have a recent website up if any one is interested www.daves-drawings.com and I will keep adding and subtracting to that site.
Well all the best.
