My contribution to the rather awesome looking moon tonight. Lunar eclipse Dec 2010. I shot this through our telescope with the Nikon D700 and 100mm macro at 1/60 sec and f/5.6, ISO 200. It was a bit tricky getting them both lined up but the result was not too bad i think.
Wow. We were completely overcast, day after day of California rain, rain stopped, I’d given up, neighbor reports a brief 3 am-ish clearing and siting between sweeping cloud cover. This is a treat and thanks.

Looks great Craig do you have a special fitting for the Telescope. I have a powerful telescope but have never tried this
No special fitting, you just need to remove the eye piece from the telescope and then just play with camera distance.
