I was out walking in the jungle and almost walked straight into these two! They are Harvestman or “Opiliones” which are not spiders. At first i thought the red dots on their backs were markings but they are in fact Mites.
The leaves they are sitting on were about the size of my hand (which i guess is an average male hand), so you can get an idea of the length of those legs! The body is quite small though, about 1cm.
Shot in West Papua, Indonesia.
Nikon D700, 105mm f/2.8 Macro, 1/40 sec at f/25, Off camera speedlight set 1/8 power below the leaf and 1/16 power from above.

The Harvestman stands out so nicely against the backlit glowing lime shaded leaf and the dark background compliments the Harvestman, as well as adds pop to this lovely macro! : )
