Refugee's by

These refugee’s were traveling to Chad via Niger and stopped near our rig site to make repairs to their truck. After giving them water food and milk for the women, babies and children, they were gracious enough to let me take some shots. They still had 1000km to travel at this point………Life is sometimes very cruel! Unfortunately i could not get any shots of the women and children as they were safely nestled up on top.
Shot in the Sahara desert, Libya.
Nikon D300, 24 – 120mm at 24mm, f18, 1/400, ISO 200.

Sir, it is this exact image and story that makes me want to be a photographer.
In the immortal words of the great humanitarian Gandhi,
" That’s one heck of a shot. Now can I have a cracker or a twinkie
    or something? I’m famished".

To be in a situation to see and feel is one thing, the other is to be able to capture and share. You clearly have done well at both. Thanks
