Great shot. What is the white balance you used? Mine come out a rouge color everytime. Oh, and thanks for the comments on my pics. If there’s anything I can do just let me know, I’ve only been doing this for a couple of years now.

Nikon D80 with 12 – 24mm set to 24mm. WB set to Auto (processed later in camera RAW and set to 3900k). f/5.6, shutter set to bulb, used a remote and fired for 13 sec. ISO 100.

am i allowed to say YOU BASTAGE! you have created a timeless image here that to my mind at least conjours up the sense of static electricity and i can FEEL that when i look at this….the violet tones are just a superb addition to the crawler lightning….. this is really quite masterful. I am jealous beyond belief…... i bet that was a real humdinger of a storm….. and i bet you KNEW it was going to be a beauty when you took it…...

fantastic! I’ve tried to capture lightening but the timing is always wrong. I would have better luck if I still lived in Wyoming – lots of storms there. I live in Oregon and we rarely get these lightening storms now!
