life is but a journey
no matter which road we take
which ever way we get their
its a journey we must make
whether looking for a future
the rising or the fall
life is but a journey
a journey took by all
quietly, we pass by
and try to live each day
on whatever this journey has to offer
come what not ,what may
hoping for the very best
health wealth and love
some of us are quick to make a start
some of us need a shove
the rest of us just wait it out
and expect good things just to come
for the old ,the journey’s nearly over
but for the young, its just begun
day by day we learn the ways
both forward or going back
but whichever direction our journey takes us
life is just one track
theres no way of stopping time
or making it stand still
no pause button or rewind
its simply up or down the hill
still we continue on our road
hoping to win the fight
but the journey ends for us all one day
as we all eventually see the light
