Cleopatra was the last in the line of her ancient pharaoh ancestors in ancient Egyptian times. The glorious reign of pharaohs came to an end with her death. She commited suicide by having a cobra snake bite her after she heard that Caesar Octavius of the strong Roman Empire was near her palace. This way she did not suffer the humiliation of defeat by the enemy.
