I am writing this journal because I realise that many of my artist friends do not know what has been happening in my life the past eight months.
Up until end of September, I have been busy doing odd jobs, taking care of my child and keeping house for my mom & sister. I lost my internet provider due to unforseen circumstances. I also did a few sketches & drawings. Not work that I am particularly proud of, just subjects I found interesting.
As most of you all know, I had an only child, a son, named Riekert. He was killed in a car crash on 3 October 2011. In this horrific accident, I also lost my youngest sister, Tina. I totally lost my urge to paint or draw. It is still very unreal and I need time to get over this loss.
Because of my focus having shifted, I decided to ask Redbubble to close the groups I was hosting. I trust you all will understand my reasons for not being active in groups any more and will not hold any grudges towards me or Susan for closing the group. The group is Art at Heart. (I have to try to remember how to do Redbubble formatting).
