NEFERTARI

Pencil drawing on A4 size Medium Texture Artist Canvas Sheet (primed) – 330 GSM. Size: 21cm x 29.5cm
__________
This is a drawing of Nefertari, favourite queen (1300 – 1250 BC) of Pharaoh Rameses II (1279 – 1213 BC). When her burial tomb was dicovered in the Valley of the Queens in 1904, it was described as the most beautiful tomb ever, by Italian Egyptologist Ernesto Schiaparelli. The tomb (or hypogeum) was built on the scale of a pharaoh’s tomb, decorated with paintings of astonishing beauty.
