Caught you out! The sun is not perfectly rounded: I only saw it when the smaller picture loaded. So, I will be changing the sun – do you agree? Maybe I could also add a few small leaves sticking out from the bundled tree foliage, or maybe some sun patches (holes)? What do yout hink? The tree is supposed to be an Apiesdoring (acacia). Thanks so much for your critique! Much appreciated.

Thanks so much Sharon! So much appreciated! I was wondering (see my reply to Dawn) if I should add a few “holes” in the tree foliage, or some leaves as detail? Sorry if I am a pest about it, it was only when I saw the smaller image that it bothered me. As is the sun, which is not rounded enough? Thanks again!

hee hee i never noticed that, but yes you are right, yes to the small leaves, but patches no, i would just run a little lemon from the outside of the clumps of tree going right to left, but again a little at a time, i am off out now until after lunch, glad to help dawn

Well seeing as you ask I will imagine I had done it which means I get very critical and never satisfied…but…I reckon it is beautiful, sizzling colour complimentaries, but the (ovoid)sun is in the wrong place it should nudge over to the left so it is just behind the branches and the diagonal from bottom RH to top LH cuts through the middle of it.

I can’t see anything which needs changing here Mariaan, you could get a lid or something circular to draw around the sun, I’d use pale yellow, pastel pencil or if your feeling confident paint it. Will make your glorious sun glow even more. Actually this is only an idea, your painting is beautiful.
