i thought it was always
when we first met
all those days and nights
just you and me
no more emptiness inside

and if i could have
i’d have done it all different
those dreams i had were innocent
and i know i should have
been a better man

better late and trust than never

i knew it was always
when we first met
all those days and nights
entrust in you and me
never look back once it began

i’ll be a better man
for you
i’ll be a better man
i’ll see you in everything i do
so i can be with you
and be a better man

Awww Thank you Mia …. I wrote this about my Ex Wife Kim .. .and how I had hurt her (and made her lose trust in me) near the end of our relationship. I AM a better man, but only through doing the wrong things and learning from that.

VBS :) :) Thank you so much Liz and Deri :) I think the only way to really write lyrics (and poems) is from the heart. I think one needs to have felt what he/she is writing about.

Yeah, true, sometimes because of the situation we are faced, we are under control and do something that we will regret at the end, and we realize it when its too late…..

Very much so Care … I think we can only really touch others when we write … when we ourselves have felt.
