The Deepest Sleep

A poem about desperation, heartache and hurt. Written in 2004. Don’t worry, I’m not there …... yet ;) LOL

The Deepest Sleep belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical

the deepest sleep inside my head
and thoughts of going right to bed
and never waking up again
to all this hurt and all this shame
to move on now wait again
this twilight’s coming
and my hurt can go

the deepest sleep when will it come
sooner the better so tired of this one
and never making up again
to all this love and all this blame
i’ll move on soon wait the same
the dawn will never come
and my hurt will fly away

the deepest sleep is closer now
i don’t know when i don’t know how
and never wanting her again
and all this love and all these games
she moved on she’ll not wait the same
her dawn has past me by
and my hurt drove me to die
