*When I’m all alone
And no one else is there
Waiting by the phone
To remind me
I’m still here
When shadows paint the scenes
Where spotlights used to fall
And I’m left wondering
Is it really worth it all?

There’s a peace inside us all
Let it be your friend
It will help you carry on
In the end
There’s a peace inside us all

Life can hold you down
When you’re not looking up
Can’t you hear the sounds?
Hearts beating out loud
Although the names change
Inside we’re all the same
Why can’t we tear down the walls?
To show the scars we’re covering

There’s a peace inside us all
Let it be your friend
It will help you carry on
In the end
There’s a peace inside us all

There’s a peace
Oh, there’s a peace inside us all
Let it be
Oh, I said, let it be
Let it be your friend

There’s a peace inside us all
Let it be your friend
It will help you carry on
In the end
There’s a peace inside us all

There’s a peace inside us all
(Inside us all, inside us all)
There’s a peace inside us all
(Let it be, let it be, let it be…)
There’s a peace inside us all
(Let it be your friend)*

This is strangely powerful. Not sure what to make of the title but it works

Love it, so organic, I can feel the tree drinking.

Thanks Pilgrim. The title comes from the song by Creed. I often put music to my photos depending on the emotion I am trying to convey.

Brilliant capture, brilliantly titled….Not to put too finer point on it, the twisty roots remind me of intestines. I am not very familiar with Creed’s music….Anyway, I think it’s very clever.

Thanks Naomi … Had you seen this one before? I thought you had.

Hehehe They do look a little that way Trilby. :) For me the tree looks as if it is reaching for the heavens, almost like it has found some relief and is expressing a form of release … it’s found it’s peace at last. :) I have added a link in the description to a video on YouTube, so if you have BB you can listen to the song. Creed are a little heavy, but have some very meaningful songs with beautiful music and lyrics :)

I love the photography you take of our stunning country – you capture the spirit we all know exists but rarely see living in the city. Need to get out more.

Oh, I’m hardly traveled Taniuska. I had to work in the Tom Price Ore Mine for a month for work … on a day off I went to see the Karijini National Park and got some photos :) Apart from that, I’ve only really been down the South of Western Australia, most of Vic. and a little of SA. Although, I have done the 30hr drive from Perth to Mt Gambier In SA and back. That was pretty amazing. Getting ready to do that drive (but on to Ballarat in Vic.) again soon. With my 3 fur kids ;)
