Dave, we all have our own opinions. Circumstances differ though and sometimes it might be best to just put an animal down. Other times it might be neglectful, selfish and lazy to do so. Jordy still has a chance for quality of life with help and love. That is what I am doing for him. He has given me 14 years of unconditional love. The least I can do for him is try to make sure he lives as long and as fully as he possibly can. You do what you do, I’ll do what I do … and let’s try not to judge eh?

Awww Thanks Katherine. {{{hugs}}} I can fully understand that a lot of people wouldn’t understand how we could continue to do these things for our beloved pets. There is a lot more to the Jordy/Basil/Fudge story that I have not told and which I won’t tell, because it is far more personal than needs to be told here and I am not after sympathy at all. Needless to say, because of the history, my boys ARE my children and not simply just Pets. They never have been just animals anyway and as such I would do anything in the world to help them … as long as they aren’t suffering. I doubt Dave has read the complete story, because if he had he would know now that that was the last treatment Jordy will be having … the next time I take him to the vet will be to end his suffering (or make sure he isn’t that far into suffering). I promise you don’t need to buy something to support Jordy Katherine. I ask for support from people in any way they can and you are doing that by commenting and following his story too. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Awwwww Baby, and this morning he damn near launched himself up a tree after some birds!! ;) Then started walking the back fence towards his Water Tank. :) He IS still very active and I’ll be damned if 8 months ago I would have taken the easy way out and had him put to sleep!! I guess everyone has a right to an opinion Cheyenne. What hurts me the most is that he wouldn’t understand all that Jordy and I (and Basil and Fudge) have been thru to be where we are today (Nothing is ever black and white, from either perspective) Why Dave decided he needed to voice that opinion here is beyond me though.

Awwwww Dave doesn’t get me down Cheyenne … as a matter of fact I feel a little sorry for him at times. But same, same. I have never walked in his shoes. I guess I have learned to think before I speak (usually) and he has a long way to go.
