What an amazing action shot. It really pulls you into the moment, antisipating the wave to come crashing and spraying. The composition is gerat. Well captured my friend.

  • Craig Shillington

    Craig Shillington

Sure was Devan. Actually … I was luck cos I was taking shots of the waves crashing on the rocks in front of me and was trying to watch when the waves were breaking (timing them to break on the rocks for the shot) so I was watching an noticed something just a little different with this one ;)

Sensational Shot… one of those “once in a lifetime” type things no doubt… If someone painted this, no one would believe it actually occurred!!!

PS… if you want to join two words together in the tags area simple type the “underscore” in between the two words…

eg craig_shilllington as an entry will keep them together in the tags on the screen.

  • Craig Watson

    Craig Watson

No… I can’t remember which one I left the question on so a tip in the right direction would be good. I love the one the other night with the WOTW… Thinking of it now, is that where I asked about the links???

oh now that is an interesting capture love natural movement, i have to say i have never seen a wave look like this outstanding capture Love it

  • Craig Shillington replied

It amazed me too Liz!! I am so glad I was lucky enough to have caught it. The secret to this was a strong wind blowing out to sea … somehow it picked up the water on the crest of the wave and made it even higher. At least that’s what I believe happened :) :)

  • Liz Wohlrab

wow! Craig this is a fantastic capture! I dearly love ocean scenes and waves are different every time. Have you ever tried taking photos with a pair of binoculars over the camera lens? I should find a couple that I took on my 35th wedding anniversary at the Oregon coast.

  • Craig Shillington replied

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh How creative would that be Laree!! I might have to give that a go at some stage. :) I want to attach my Camera to a telescope and get shots of the planets too :) :) VBS
