Mallard ducks by

Well trying to get some photos of swans I surprised a very large amount of Mallard duck

Shot in Comox BC Canada with a Nikon D700 with a 300mm f2é8 len and a 2x tel,

ne of the most familiar of ducks, the Mallard is found throughout North America and all across Eurasia. Where it does not occur naturally, it often has been introduced. It is found in all kinds of wetlands and is a familiar inhabitant of urban park ponds.

I have been a photographer for over 20 years and of all my subjects, including weddings, dogs, sports including CFL football and hockey, my true love is nature photography, whether it is landscape, macros or wildlife. I live in the country in Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, so a lot of my favourite subjects are at my doorstep. I shoot with all Nikon equipment.
