a mundane but not uneventful scene from suburban melbourne, taken on 120mm film and seen through the plastic lens of my beat-up diana camera.

here, the sun sets on a fire hydrant and a ‘no entry’ sign against a powder blue wall with a pink skirting. it’s beautiful in its plainness.

i think i was listening to a john coltrane solo when i shot this, it seemed appropriate at the time.
