i could never stand that close to them, i lived in nyc then and they were much too looming, i didn’t like to be even in the shadow, they gave me the creeps….

Really like this as an interesting, minimalistic, architectural image alone. But it is now impossible to view pictures of these particular edifices without the emotional baggage and as such it makes me sigh and feel all wistful and nostalgic for simpler times.
Great shot from below. I looked up at these magnificent towers one time and could not see the top of them…..they were spectacular!
