Joni Philbin
i could never stand that close to them, i lived in nyc then and they were much too looming, i didn’t like to be even in the shadow, they gave me the creeps….
lightsmith
really nice perspective. I like the lines – they contrast very pleasingly with the tonal but otherwise featureless sky. great capture!
Paul Gana
wonderful angle and we must never forget nor never forgive
Damien Taylor
Christophe, a great shot. The title says it all.
Tiffany Dryburgh
Really like this as an interesting, minimalistic, architectural image alone. But it is now impossible to view pictures of these particular edifices without the emotional baggage and as such it makes me sigh and feel all wistful and nostalgic for simpler times.

Great shot from below. I looked up at these magnificent towers one time and could not see the top of them…..they were spectacular!
Kimberley Gifford
Amazing how a picture can make you feel…beautiful shot yet such a sad story behind it
Robert Boretti
Very nice capture. My wife lost 2 dear friends on 911 in those towers. We will never forget them! Thanks for sharing.

Its hard to imagine what those poor souls went through that day, and what some people forget is that it was not just americans that died that day but other fine people from all different countries trying just to make a living for their familys. But it seems that some people are forgeting and don’t realize this was an act of war. Thank you for this image.

Thank you for this image. Having been there on 9/11 I for one will never forget-in fact its part of the reason I live outside NYC at this moment. I will always love both my country and especially NYC, my city in a way I can not discribe…and it still pains me to think about that day…

I always get goosebumps when I see these towers and I miss them on the New York skyline. I lay on my back on a bench – maybe as you did – and took a similar shot before travelling to the top to enjoy that unique view. Actually the old skyscrapers round about impressed me more architecturally, but these monsters couldn’t fail to stay leave their own impession.
melbourneguy75
I find that every time I watch a movie set in NY, straight away you can tell if it’s set before or after that tragic day based on those two towers being part of the skyline…
