i love a man in glasses handsome sp Pete, love the pose, it shows personality and implies intelligence. Not that you have to imply intelligence, i know you’re very intelligent :) but it just has a sense of study about it to me. love it.
Hey Ruby, it’s so good to hear from you, and with a sweet comment like this, you’re likely to make a guy blush :P Yeah, I was hoping the whole glasses thing might fool a few people into confusing intelligence with plain and simple bad eyesight :) The aim of this mini shoot was to do a series of “hand” shots, but managed to get my mug in this one too :) Glad you like the pose, but what I really like most of all is that you might actually think I’m intelligent (those glasses really are fooling people). Thanks Ruby :)
Hey Wendi, its soooo good to hear from you :) hahaha….yeah, amazing what a pair of glasses can do to boost one’s IQ. Wadda-ya-mean….“look” so intellegent….was that ever in question :P Thanks for a great comment you :)
Awesome sp Pete! I love when artists on here do sp’s as you get to learn a bit more about them. Like I’ve just learned that your eye sight sucks HA! Just kidding :P I do like the glasses a lot and the pose, lighting and composition are all fantastic as well. Really nice to see more of you Mr. Costick :)
Hey Shelly, really pleased you like this one :) funny how we are so nervous about SP’s at first, then get used to the idea. In my case, its more likely because I’m the only model availble to play around with lighting experiments. The glasses were on and off while doing this shoot, needing them to view the taken pics on the camera, and simply left them on for this one. They do work as props i guess. Was doing my “hands” series, and my face simply got in the way in this pic :P Thanks Shell, as always, really appreciate your lovely comments and support :)
Oh and for what it’s worth I like them both a lot but the b&w has a more classic serious kind of feel to it…..not that you asked but I’m giving you my opinion anyway :D
I’ve got to agree with you Shell, b&w every time for me with this type of image in particular, somehow displays so much more character in the mono tones than the colour one does. Thanks for your opinion on that, I’ll call on you again for that from time to time if I may :)
Cool shot mate, nicely posed and taken. The lighting looks good and your expression is interesting, I think the specs make the difference. I promise not to make fun of them again! Nice work.
Cheers Chappers, appreciate that….. they do kinda make me look intelligent don’t they :P
I like this SP, Pete! The comp leaves plenty of space for the viewer to think about what you ar thinking off.
Hi Peter, glad you like the comp, leaving some space, I like your idea of that making the viewer think what I’m thinking too. Thanks for a great and constructive comment my friend, very much appreciated :)
I totally agree with PeterBusser on the plenty of space.. wonderful SP Pete !
Hi Mona, thank you so much for taking a look and commenting here :) I like to use the negative space thing with this type of image, so I’m really pleased you like it too….appreciate your kind words :)
