great shot with nice emotion
Pete Costick replied
Many thanks Jerame, praise coming from your expert eye, pleases me very much
Ursula Rodgers
Wonderful shot Pete. Beautifully composed and I can feel her sadness.
Pete Costick replied
Hi Ursula, thanks for for kind comment. Truthfully, the sadness was more to do with me pestering her so I could take the photo, but the resulting emotion has worked well for the portrait, I think :)
Nicolette Thain
The editing you have done from the original is excellent Pete, this version is WAY better! :o)
Pete Costick replied
Hi Nicollette, I’m so pleased you like this reworked, tightly cropped, high-key version. Kinda makes the original look a bit flat. Thanks so much for you input, always appreciated :)

great treatment on this….striking image! :)
Pete Costick replied
Hello Soos, thanks for taking a look, good to hear from you. Glad you like the treatment, I would agree, the high-key does make it more striking.
Vikram Franklin
Hey – remember this one. This crop does bring more focus to her – ‘despair & hopelessness’ is what I think I said last time and it fits even better now.
Pete Costick replied
I thought you guys might spot that I reworked a previous image. Did it cropped and high key for a comp, but actually prefer this version now. Many thanks my friend for your kind comments, much appreciated, as always.
Karri Klawiter
Gorgeous high key Pete!
Pete Costick replied
Thanks Karri, really pleased you approve, much appreciated, and thanks for the chat earlier

Hey Pete….you know how much I love this. Your model is stunning and I love the emotion you have captured. And of course I LOVE the high key effect of this and the framing is perfect. I really admire your work and find you very inspirational. Keep it up as I am always interested to see new work from you :) Cheers Pete :)
Pete Costick replied
Hey Shell, Wow, what a lovely review, you are way too kind to me.
I am flattered, but it is your work that has inspired me no end, particularly with high key portraiture (your speciality).
Yes, I must do some more serious new work soon. Really appreciate your support, thanks Shelly :)

Hi Pete….love this one….love how you’ve framed her face – and how her hair lies across her face on the angle. Great high key image…. well done!

Hi Wendi, so pleased to hear your thoughts on this portrait of Natalie, my daughter. Re-processed this version for the high effect.
Must try and do a proper shoot with her some time. Thanks my friend :)

Pete Costick replied

rubyjo
thats damn. in a good way
Pete Costick replied
Ah, damn good to hear that :) This is my daughter Natalie, taken last year, when she was 18, just turned 18 now. Was taken on the spur of the moment, and she didn’t want to oblige, hence the “hurry up Dad” look. Thanks for your damn nice comment, I think?
Ingz
Elegant and serene portrait, beautiful work.
Pete Costick replied
Hello Ingz, so lovely to find you here looking at my work :) I have looked at your gallery and am really impressed, excellent work, my friend :)
Yhis is my daughter, Natalie, taken when she was 18, and not in the mood for having her pic taken, hence the look :)
Thank you so much for your kind comment, really appreciate it :)
